TAGCarts® · Wireless charging for healthcare

Carts that charge when nurses park them.

Four computer workstations on wheels parked side by side against the wall, charging without cords

The TAG-X® Smart Rail is hospital wall protection with wireless charging inside. Workstations, carts and mobile equipment charge whenever they touch the wall: no cords, no outlets, no battery swaps.

The problem

Where’s your nearest outlet?

Every powered cart in a hospital needs a nurse to remember it: plug it in, unplug it before moving, check the battery, swap the battery, find an outlet, wipe the cord. Cords trip people and carry germs. Swappable batteries go missing and wear out. Each cart has more than twelve cord touch points a day.

TAGCarts started in 2019 to redesign the medical cart around the nurse. The answer was to take the power cord away altogether.

The problem: a cord, an outlet and a nurse who has to remember both

The platform

One rail, one dashboard, any cart

OmniTAG® is the whole system: TAG-X hardware in the wall, NexTAG software in the cloud, and carts that charge on any rail.

Hardware

TAG-X® Smart Rail

Wireless, contactless charging built into the wall protection your corridors already need. Carts charge when nurses park them.

Software

NexTAG® software

The cloud dashboard for every rail, cart and battery: where they are, how they charge, and which equipment performs.

Who we serve

Built for the people who run the hospital floor

Nursing leaders, behavioral health units, facility designers, IT teams and emergency planners each come to TAG-X for a different reason.

Hospitals and health systems

Nursing leaders and administrators who want carts that are always charged, with fewer cords, touch points and injuries.

Behavioral health

Workstations with no power cord to become a ligature risk and no swappable battery to become a weapon.

What nurses and physicians say

Nell Moroney, RN, in dark scrubs, beside a workstation cart at a TAG-X rail

Love the TAG-X wireless charging! I seek the TAGCarts out over the old corded carts because they’re just easier and make my workflow smoother. If anything I’d love to have more locations for charging.

The wireless charging WOWs are superior to corded or desktop workstations, not only because of the mobility and fast response, but the ease and speed of parking the WOW for charging.

Reliable, convenient, easy to use, and saves my back!
