Carts

TRIO® and TAHOE® carts

The TRIO® workstation cart, powered by TAG-X, and the TAHOE® supply, procedure and treatment cart with touchless access: both designed with nurses.

Workstation cart

TRIO® powered by TAG-X®

Healthcare’s first workstation cart with wireless power from a TAG-X Smart Rail. Untethered from power cords and free of battery cartridges, it is charged and ready for nursing and clinical work: no swapping, no plugging, just powered patient care.

  • Prevents more than 3,000 touch points per cart per year
  • Tag it to the wall where X marks the spot
  • 6-inch casters, the smoothest and most durable on any cart
  • Zero-maintenance charging for caregivers

Since March 2026 TRIO carts powered by TAG-X have run the adolescent wing at CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia, Missouri, with no power cords.

TAHOE®

We asked healthcare professionals to help us design their dream cart. TAHOE is the result: “Powered by design, designed for care.” Made of sustainably sourced, purposeful materials and assembled in California by veterans and Americans with disabilities at PRIDE Industries.

TAHOE is the industry’s first cart with touchless, keyless access as standard: a wave of a badge, a bracelet or a phone opens it. No keypads to wear out and no keys to find.

TAHOE features

Everything a nurse asked for

From the TAHOE feature tour on the live site.

Touchless access
RFID: existing hospital badge, TAHOE bracelet or badge, small sticker, or the NexTAG app on a phone. Users, carts and settings are programmed wirelessly from the nursing station. Programmable auto-lock timer for carts with sharps or medication, per The Joint Commission. USB administrator key and emergency power on the front; emergency manual key on the back.
Motion-sensing drawer lights
See into drawers without turning on the room light and waking the patient.
Wireless charging pad
Optional (patent pending), in the work surface: charges tablets, laptops, handhelds and phones.
Drawers
Heavy-duty, balanced and tilt-tested: the bottom drawer holds more than 50 lb (about 22 IV bags) at full extension. Auto-closing. Full-length handles, so you open the drawer where you stand.
Handles
Open-loop “germ guard” handles, easy to wipe and UVC-light ready. Lowest drawer handle 2–4 in higher than the industry standard, so less bending.
Casters
6-inch premium hospital-grade locking casters; a stability base frame wider than the body.
Work surface
Retractable extension with a spill reservoir; backsplash for charts, tablets and notes; telescoping IV tower that hides when not in use.
Push handle
Soft, cleanable, mounted left, right or both; sized for 5 ft to 6 ft 4 in users.
Weight
94 lb
Also
Wi-Fi updates over the air, low-profile wall bumper, quiet operation (no beeping keypads or slamming drawers).
