The CODE-X study of how nurses operate code carts.

Frequently asked questions

Have another question? We are happy to hear from you.

How close does a cart need to be to charge?

TAG-X needs no physical contact. Charging is best when the receiver on the cart and the transmitter in the rail are within 7.5 cm (3 inches): in practice, when a nurse parks the cart against the rail.

Which carts and equipment can charge on TAG-X?

Any cart or mobile medical equipment fitted with a TAG-X receiver: workstations on wheels, medication carts, vital-signs monitors and more. TAG-X works with any type or size of battery, and every powered device can use every rail.

Do we have to replace our wall protection?

No. Upgrade kits turn the guards and rails already on your walls into TAG-X Smart Rails. New construction can specify the Smart Rail like any other wall protection; CAD/BIM files are on the Resources page.

Is the technology safe in patient care areas?

TAGCarts chose low-frequency resonant magnetic charging after a multi-year study of charging technologies. It already charges tens of thousands of drones and autonomous ground vehicles around the world, and the study rated it the safest for patient care areas.

Is there an IP portfolio?

Yes. Two issued U.S. patents, Wall Anchor for Cart with Recharging (Nos. 10,927,873 and 11,624,387), plus trademarks, trade secrets and patents pending.

Are you accepting new investors?

TAGCarts has completed two family-and-friends capital raises. It is not actively raising, but welcomes relationships with investors and partners who share its goals. Please use the contact form.
