Our mission is to help healthcare move to sustainability with solutions that lift nursing up, for greater global wellness.
As a portfolio company of the Founder Institute, TAGCarts was created to make an impact beyond its products. These values are the building blocks of the company, and our team and clients are committed to them.
We use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a guide for our impact. Our values align most closely with four of them, below. Today’s healthcare market rewards hospitals that make their spending count, not just count their spending.
Environment
Sustainable production and cleaner oceans
Responsible consumption and production (Goal 12)
- Collaborative, extensive research into sustainable materials.
- Patents and designs that use recycled, up-cycled, post-consumer and highly recyclable materials, and keep waste out of landfill.
- Working with forward-thinking health systems and supply chain partners who share these goals.
Life below water (Goal 14)
- Exploring supply chain partners that reduce hazardous ocean waste and ocean-bound waste.
- Working with state, government, non-profit and for-profit organizations to measure the impact of recycled ocean and ocean-bound material.
Social
Healthy lives and decent work
Good health and well-being (Goal 3)
- Products and services that make nurses and healthcare professionals safer and their work easier.
- Hospitals and the growing home-health market at home; basic healthcare, emergency preparedness and disaster response for at-risk populations abroad.
Decent work and economic growth (Goal 8)
- Partnership with PRIDE Industries, the nation’s largest employer of Americans with disabilities, for assembly, packaging and fulfilment in the Sacramento region.
- Carts built and shipped by Americans of many abilities and U.S. veterans.
- Health systems get a partner with purpose: their normal supply spending does good too.
